Swine
The 4-H Swine Project teaches youth how to raise and care for pigs while learning responsibility, animal husbandry, and basic livestock management. Members gain hands-on experience in feeding, health care, housing, and preparing their animals for exhibition.
This project helps youth build confidence, responsibility, and a strong work ethic while developing skills in record keeping, decision making, and time management. Participants also learn sportsmanship, communication, and gain a better understanding of agriculture and where food comes from.
